About the Artist

Art class was always my favorite subject in elementary and high school. In particular, I loved painting with oils. The media can be very forgiving yet very complex. Perhaps my interest comes from my competitive nature.  I like the challenge of interpreting a scene and light to a rendering that speaks to the viewer. It may recall a pleasant memory, be appealing to the eye, or stimulate the senses, invoking a sensory experience to be enjoyed every day.    

After graduating from Syracuse University with a major in Art, I entered the corporate world to pay my college loans.  Several years ago I retired from my career and returned to oil painting.  We spend our time between Bozeman, Montana and Lovell, Maine.  Both locations provide scenes of immense beauty to paint.
